its inception in 1971, The House of Sikkas has endeavored
to set standards in this arena of cargo handling . During
the course of these three and a half decades of striving in
the pursuit of excellence we have made a name for ourselves
as an internationally renowned cargo clearing and freight
forwarding agent among leading importers, exporters, buying
houses in India and abroad. An enviable reputation born
out of the fact that today Sikkas is handling approximately
9,000 tons of air cargo and about 4,500 containers by sea
annually, transporting anything from a human heart to human
remains.

Founder's
Vision
I
got my first glimpse of the enormous dimensions and scope
of the cargo industry, when I started my career in 1955
with an export house. There I came in contact with various
cargo agents and representatives of airlines and shipping
lines besides the various government establishments. My
day to day exposure opened up vistas of promising future
full of challenges which inspired me to establish my own
venture in freight forwarding industry.
An aspiration to be known
as the best in the freight forwarding industry and the
determination to succeed has enabled us to achieve our
present stature.
The ever expanding economic
environment and the present liberalized mood of the country
has led to manifold developments and advancements in every
sphere. This had led to enormous growth in the movement
of cargo, demanding better services in cargo handling from
a freight forwarder.
